While most school districts are aspiring to be good, the Andrews Independent School District has a legacy of academic and athletic excellence that is actually surpassed by none. Andrews Independent School District holds the state record for the most University Interscholastic League titles (combined athletic and academic titles). A Texas Education Agency Recognized school district, Andrews has won the District University Interscholastic League academic title 39 of the past 43 years. Last year, in addition to academic, band and choir, every AISD sports program, boys and girls, advanced to post-district competition.

The Andrews Commitment to First-Class Facilities!
Continuing a long history of academic and athletic excellence, Andrews ISD recently made major renovations/additions at the Andrews Middle School and Andrews High School. In addition to the new High School Baseball Field and major upgrades to the already famous Mustang Bowl Football Stadium, The Andrews High School Performance Center opened in the Spring of 2007 featuring a new 1,000-seat Concert Acoustic Auditorium, a 2,000-seat gymnasium and a first-class natatorium. Three-fourths of Andrews High School students participate in some type of extracurricular activity; a substantial portion of the bond construction is aimed at enhancing facilities in these areas. Most recently, Andrews voters elected to pass yet another $18.5 million bond that reconstructed two aging elementary campuses. Andrews is committed to first-class learning and extra-curricular facilities!
