The Andrews Commitment to First-Class Facilities!
Andrews Economic Development: EducationContinuing a long history of academic and athletic excellence, Andrews ISD is in the final stages of a 2002 $30.2 million bond construction project. Improvements included major renovations/additions at the Andrews Middle School and Andrews High School. In addition to the new High School Baseball Field and major upgrades to the already famous Mustang Bowl Football Stadium, The Andrews High School Performance Center, scheduled to open in the Spring of 2007, will feature a new 1,000-seat Concert Acoustic Auditorium, a 2,000-seat gymnasium and a first-class natatorium. Three-fourths of Andrews High School students participate in some type of extracurricular activity; a substantial portion of the bond construction is aimed at enhancing facilities in these areas. Most recently, in May 2006, Andrews voters elected to pass yet another $18.5 million bond to reconstruct two aging elementary campuses. Andrews is committed to first-class learning and extra-curricular facilities!
