Labor Force Training

Andrews County is a member of the Texas Workforce Commission’s Permian Basin Local Workforce Development Region. Therefore, we have unlimited access to various training programs and services offered by the TWC’s local workforce centers. As well as, access and support from WorkInTexas.com, which is Texas’ most comprehensive online job resource that helps employers find workers and job seekers find jobs. Many of our employers offer On-the-Job and Apprenticeship Training.

The newly opened, the highly advanced, Andrews Business & Technology Center is intent on meeting the growing needs of both the local workforce and providing post-secondary educational opportunities. It is a significant partnership with Odessa College, UTPB and College of the Southwest, the City of Andrews and Andrews County. It offers state-of-the-art technology for distance learning. In addition to upper and lower division classes, vocational training opportunities will be provided. The Center is well equipped with a Science Lab, Nursing Program Facility, Multi-Computer Labs with Interactive Capabilities and a Video Conferencing Board Room. Andrews is committed to workforce training at every level!
